top 5 and three quarters…a little bit of Marrakesh in Amsterdam

I had the privilege to assist an editorial meeting for a new dutch online magazine which is specifically aimed at  Moroccan woman living in the Netherlands.  One of the fashion editorials for the magazine will be a Moroccan bridal theme. The fashion editor, who had a Moroccan wedding herself, showed me some beautiful kaftans made in Morocco.The attention to detail was stunning.

When I got home, I searched the net to see how this typically Moroccon/Arabic style: the shape, the length and the detailing, had been used as a source of inpsiration for more western, mainstream desingers. So here is a little a bit of Marrakesh on the catwalk:
